Looking For Shearling or Sherpa Lined Jackets and Shoes?

Shoes:
DON'T: Don't go with any UGG boots. They're expensive and very ugg-ly. People say that they are warm, but why do you want to wear the shoe box with a little fur in it instead? UGG boots are impractical and make your feet look big and clunky. The patchwork boots are definitely the most hideous. Follow Paul Frank's shirt featuring "Not Cool" with a drawn picture of UGG boots.
DO: Get something a little different. My suggestion is to not get boots, but to get a more practical shoe. Sperry makes their popular Blue Fish 2 Eye boat shoe in a shearling lined slip on. They come in three colors, red, tan, and chocolate brown, and are very comfortable. They look good with anything and are somewhat formal. They are definitely more practical and are much more versatile than the UGG boot.
If you are looking for a more inexpensive and much more casual shearling lined shoe, then go for the Crocs Mammoth. They are the traditional Croc shoe, but they have a very furry insert. They only come in a few colors, but are worth it. The shearling lining is also removable, so you can hose out the Crocs themselves.

Jackets:
DON'T: Don't cheap out and buy a shearling or sherpa lined jacket just because you found one for cheap somewhere. Look into the quality of the fabric and the quality of the lining. Make sure that it is durable enough to wear and that it is warm.
DO: Look for the best lined hoodie you can find. J.Crew offers a nice variety of lined hoodies. They have shearling/sherpa lined hoodies as well as other types of fleece. Their jackets are a little more money, but they are definitiey worth it.
